Media and Influencer Licensing Legislation

The Media Agency will issues legislation to ensure news that is released has consequences if it's not factual.

When media is provided its certified by the content owners who produced it.

Press Pass Legislation

  • False Information: Making demonstrably false claims or spreading misinformation
  • Criminal Allegations: Making statements about alleged criminal behavior unless reporting on matters of public emergency or immediate public safety, or without a completed court case.
  • Financial Conflicts: Accepting payment from individuals or organizations that are the subject of reporting coverage
  • Death Announcements: Reporting someone's death without verification through official documentation (death certificate)
